Admission Requirements - Post Graduate

Qualifications

  • Prospective students must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and an Honours level pass in the area of interest.

  • Only candidates who hold DVM degrees qualify for degrees in Veterinary Clinical studies.

    • Degrees in non-clinical areas are open to holders of DVM degrees as well as holders of other suitable degrees, which must be obtained at the level of Upper Second Class or First Class.

    • Those with lower Second Class degrees may apply only if they have a minimum of B grade in the area of interest at the degree exam and are usually required to fulfill certain conditions.

  • The programmes extend for at least 21 months for the MPhil and for at least 36 months for the PhD.

Deadlines

Applications should reach the University by January 31st of the academic year that you wish to register.

You must request that your degree granting institution forward a copy of your transcript to the Graduate Studies Section no later than February 15th of the year in which you wish to begin studies.
Fees There is a non-refundable application fee of USD 30.00
