The veterinary education programme leads to the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and extends over four (8 semester long) or five (10 semester long) years.
The first year of study is an integrated programme in which the medical, dental, veterinary and pharmacy students together analyze integrated system-based problems.

Are you an International Applicant?
- Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Sciences? Then the 4-year or 5-year DVM is for you.
- Do you have GCE A-levels, German Abitur, French Baccalaureat or Ontario Sec Sch Dip? Then the 5-year DVM is for you.
- Do you have a High School Grade 12? Then the Pre-Vet Programme is for you.
Are you a Caribbean Applicant?

Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Sciences? Then either the 4-year or 5-year DVM is for you.
- Do you have CAPE, An Associate Degree, or GCE A-levels? Then the 5-year DVM is for you.
- Do you have CSEC, OR GCE 0-levels? Then the Pre-Vet Programme is for you
